About Idea2Play

What is Idea2Play?

Idea2Play is a browser-based collection of familiar classics and original games designed for immediate, low-friction play. Browse anonymously, choose a game, and begin without registration.

Is Idea2Play free?

Yes during the beta. Idea2Play has no purchases, subscriptions, prizes, or virtual currency. If that policy ever changes, the site description and Terms will be updated before the change takes effect.

Why are there no ads?

Idea2Play is intentionally designed without advertising, sponsored interruptions, or ad-targeting profiles so that the game—not an advertising feed—remains the focus.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Supported games run directly in a current web browser. You do not need an app store, installer, browser extension, or plug-in.

Do I need an account?

No. Browsing and playing are anonymous by default. An optional account adds supported cloud saves, private favorites, trophies, and account recovery.

What kinds of games are available?

The live catalog includes card, word, puzzle, tile, strategy, educational, family, and classic-board games. Browse the collection for the current list rather than relying on a fixed game count.

How are games selected?

Released games must be browser-native, responsive, privacy-safe, versioned, and reviewed for launch, input, and failure behavior. Each release is tested inside the portal before it is promoted.

Devices and gameplay

Which devices are supported?

The portal adapts to phone, tablet, desktop, and TV-sized displays. Individual games support different controls and accessibility features, which are declared on each game page before launch.

Which browsers are supported?

Idea2Play tests current Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit/Safari browsers. Very old browsers, embedded browsers, strict content blockers, or unusual enterprise restrictions may prevent some features from working.

Can I use a keyboard, mouse, touchscreen, or controller?

Support varies by game. Open a game details page to see its declared keyboard, mouse, touch, controller, and fullscreen support before you play.

Why is sound muted or blocked?

Browsers often require a click, tap, or key press before audio can begin. Check Settings for the portal's mute preference and use the sound controls provided by the game.

How does fullscreen work?

When a game supports fullscreen, use the launcher control and accept the browser request. Press Escape or use the visible exit control to leave fullscreen. Some devices or embedded browsers may restrict the feature.

Why will a game not load?

Check your connection, refresh once, update the browser, and temporarily test without an aggressive content blocker. Storage denial should not stop ordinary play, but it can prevent saving. If the problem remains, send feedback with the game name and what happened.

Can I play offline?

Offline play is not guaranteed. A game that is already loaded may continue temporarily, but the catalog, challenges, optional accounts, and cloud features require a connection.

How do I learn a game's controls?

Review the game details page, then open How to Play or the launcher controls inside the game. The details page lists supported input methods and any declared accessibility notes.

Progress and accounts

Where is guest progress saved?

Depending on the game, guest progress is stored in browser storage on the portal origin or the isolated game origin. It remains on that browser and does not automatically travel to another device.

Why did local progress disappear?

Local progress can disappear after browser site data is cleared, in private browsing, when storage is blocked, or when you switch browser profiles or devices. Some games also provide their own Reset control.

What does an optional account add?

Where supported, an account adds private cloud saves, favorites, trophies, progress, and recovery. It does not create a required public profile, and anonymous play remains available.

Can local progress be merged into an account?

Idea2Play does not silently upload or merge anonymous local records. Supported games may synchronize their own compatible save after sign-in; unsupported local saves remain only in the current browser.

Who may create an account?

Players aged 13 or older may create an account after accepting the Terms and completing the required verification.

May a child under 13 play?

A child under 13 may play anonymously with a parent or guardian. Children under 13 may not create an account or submit feedback directly; a parent or guardian should contact us for them.

How do I reset a password or use a passkey?

Use verified-email recovery to reset a password. Passkeys and one-time recovery codes are optional account protections. Support cannot bypass verification or recover a lost private authenticator key.

How do I export or delete my account?

Sign in, open Account, and use Download my data or Delete account. Account deletion removes cloud records but cannot reach game data already stored by your browser; use game reset controls or browser site-data settings for that.

How do I clear data stored on this device?

Open Settings or Browser storage to clear recent games, device favorites, measurement history, or all portal device data. Use a game's Reset control or browser site-data settings to clear game-origin saves.

Privacy

What data is stored when I play without an account?

The browser may store portal preferences, recent and favorite game IDs, coarse dates, and game-local saves. When privacy-approved measurement is enabled, Idea2Play may receive coarse allowlisted event counts without a stable player or browser identifier.

Does Idea2Play sell personal information?

No. Idea2Play does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Does Idea2Play use advertising trackers?

No. Idea2Play does not install ad pixels, fingerprinting libraries, social-platform SDKs, or third-party behavioral analytics.

Does Idea2Play use cookies?

Anonymous play does not require an identity cookie. Optional player accounts and restricted administrative tools use essential, secure server-side session cookies.

What is anonymous usage measurement?

It is a small first-party event allowlist using coarse day, game release, viewport class, input class, and bounded outcomes. It has no stable browser ID, raw records expire within 30 days, and reports hide groups smaller than 25 events.

How do I turn anonymous measurement off?

Open Settings, find Privacy, and turn off Help improve Idea2Play with anonymous usage counts. The choice does not affect games, challenges, accounts, or saves.

What is collected with feedback?

A submission contains its support or feedback intent, category, comment, optional email, normalized page kind, optional game ID, coarse device/input/browser class, and portal version. Authorized operators can review it, and it is deleted within 90 days.

How long is data retained?

Device data remains until you or the browser clears it. Account records remain until deletion, save history expires after 30 days, feedback after 90 days, raw challenge and measurement events after 30 days, and approved aggregate counts after 24 months.

How do I make a privacy request?

Use Account for self-service export or deletion. For a question, correction request, or another applicable privacy right, open feedback and choose Privacy. Include an email if you need a response.

Challenges and sharing

How do challenges work?

A challenge is a time-limited signed link that opens the same reviewed game configuration. The recipient can play anonymously and sees the comparison only after finishing.

What does a challenge recipient see?

The preview shows a spoiler-free game title and owned artwork. It does not include a gamer name, email, contact list, puzzle answer, or hidden target.

Does sharing give Idea2Play access to my contacts?

No. Idea2Play opens the operating system share sheet only after your action and cannot read your contacts. It records a share intent only when privacy-light measurement is allowed, not whether a share completed.

How long do challenge links last?

A challenge lasts up to 30 days or the shorter lifetime shown for that challenge. After expiration, ordinary anonymous play remains available.

What is the Weekly Challenge?

It is an optional editorial game configuration with no leaderboard, prize, public rank, streak, missed-week penalty, or account requirement.

Can I challenge someone back?

Yes. After a valid result, use Challenge back to create another signed, spoiler-free link for the same supported game.

Accessibility, safety, and help

What accessibility features are available?

The portal supports keyboard navigation, browser zoom, responsive layouts, visible focus, reduced motion, and high contrast. Individual games vary, so review each game's declared accessibility information before launch.

How do I report an accessibility issue or bug?

Open Share feedback, choose Accessibility or Bug, and include the game, the action you took, what you expected, and what happened. A player under 13 should ask a parent or guardian to submit.

How do I report a security concern?

Open feedback, choose Support and Security, and describe the issue privately. Avoid including passwords, passkeys, recovery codes, or unnecessary personal data.

Who created the games?

Game detail pages show the declared developer, publisher, creator, source, and license information. The Credits page collects those declarations in one place.

What happens when Idea2Play is unavailable?

Retry after checking your connection. Browser-local data is not intentionally deleted by an outage, and the catalog has a last-known-good file fallback, but beta service availability is not guaranteed.

Contact support

Players under 13 should ask a parent or guardian to submit feedback. Account recovery, export, and deletion require verification; support cannot bypass it.
