How to play

Goal

Fill the grid so every row, column, and 3×3 box contains 1 through 9 exactly once.

Where may a digit appear?: A digit may appear only once in each row, once in each column, and once in each 3×3 box.
What are given digits?: Givens are fixed puzzle clues and cannot be edited.
What are candidate notes for?: Notes record digits still possible in a cell and can be removed as rows, columns, and boxes gain values.
What is a naked single?: A cell with only one remaining candidate must take that digit.
What is a hidden single?: If a digit can appear in only one cell of a row. Column, or box, that cell must take it even if it has other notes.
How do I verify a placement?: After placing a digit, update candidates in its row, column, and box before making the next deduction.
