How to play

Goal

Reveal every safe square without opening a mine.

How is the field won?
Reveal every square that does not contain a mine. opening a mine ends the field.
What does a number count?
It counts mines in the eight horizontally, vertically, and diagonally neighbouring squares.
What is a flag for?
Mark a square you have logically identified as a mine. a flag is a planning aid, not a reveal.
When is a neighbour safe?
If a number already touches all the mines it requires, every other unopened neighbour is safe.
When must neighbours be mines?
If a number's remaining mine count equals its unopened unflagged neighbours, all those neighbours are mines.
What does reveal-neighbours do?
When adjacent flags equal a revealed number, chording opens its other neighbours. incorrect flags can expose a mine.
