How to play
Goal
Finish with the lowest score by avoiding hearts and the Queen of Spades.
- Why pass three cards?
- Before most hands, choose three cards to pass in the indicated direction to reshape risk in your hand.
- Which cards are legal in a trick?
- Follow the suit led if you can. only when void in that suit may you discard another suit.
- Who takes a trick?
- The highest card of the suit led wins the trick. other suits cannot win it.
- Which cards score points?
- Each heart is one point and the Queen of Spades is thirteen. lower total is better.
- When may hearts be led?
- Hearts normally cannot lead until a heart has been discarded, unless the leader holds only hearts.
- What is shooting the moon?
- Taking all twenty-six point cards reverses the usual outcome under the game scoring option, but missing one is costly.
