How to play

Goal

Place an unbroken line of at least five of your stones before your opponent.

How is a turn played?: Place one stone of your colour on any empty intersection. stones do not move afterward.
Which lines win?: An unbroken line of at least five wins horizontally, vertically, or along either diagonal.
How do I build a threat?: Extend lines that still have open ends so the opponent must respond.
When must I block?: If the opponent has four with a winning end, occupy that point before building elsewhere.
What makes a move hard to defend?: One stone can create two separate winning continuations. the opponent can usually block only one.
