Goal
Move all fifteen checkers into your home board and bear them off before your opponent.
- Which way do my checkers move?
- Your checkers follow one fixed direction around the track toward your home board.
- How must I use the dice?
- Each die is a separate move. Use both dice when a legal sequence exists. doubles provide four moves of that value.
- Where may I land?
- You may land on an open point, one you occupy. Or a point with exactly one opposing blot—not a point held by two or more opponents.
- What happens to a blot?
- Landing on a lone opposing checker hits it to the bar. A player with a checker on the bar must re-enter it before moving another checker.
- When may I bear off?
- After all fifteen checkers are in your home board, exact rolls bear them off. the game rules also allow the highest checker to use an oversized roll when no checker lies farther back.
